Training 2012

Here’s my workouts updated Daily so you can get an idea of how I train and also so that I can have a training log of sorts. I’ll post a picture taken on the first of each month. I like writing things down so I can analyze their effectiveness towards my goals and troubleshoot if need be.  Also, sometimes I don’t realize I haven’t taken a rest day and writing it down daily helps me keep tabs on how hard I’m working and how much I’m resting. Remember, rest is just as important as work.

January 1-7

  • Sun- 50 minutes cardio; ab circuit
  • Mon- Circuit Class; Body Balance Class
  • Tue – Bodyrock Pumped Up Kicks & Abs
  • Wed- Bodyrock Good Feeling & 2 Jazz classes
  • Thu – Rest Day
  • Frid – 4 mi walk & 2 dance classes
  • Sat – Bodyrock International Love …twice! & 3mi walk

January 8-14

  • Sun – 2 dance classes & Bodyrock Wish you Would
  • Mon – Rest Day
  • Tue – Bodyrock 400 rep (9minutes!) & Day 1 Visual Impact
  • Wed – Bodyrock Turn Me On & Weighted workout (8min!)
  • Thur – Bodyrock Dominoe & Day 2 Visual Impact
  • Fri – Rest Day
  • Sat – 15 mi hike

January15-21

  • Sun – 7 mi hike + 10k treadmill run!
  • Mon – Bodyrock Wild Ones(12min) + weighted(18 minutes) wkts
  • Tue – Rest Day + 2 dance classes
  • Wed – Bodyrock Sexy Back + 30 min easy walk + Day 1 Visual Impact
  • Thu – Bodyrock 600 Rep + 12 min Tara Stiles yoga podcast
  • Fri – Bodyrock FitTest + Shoulders/Chest + 6 min yoga sun salutations
  • Sat – Rest Day – I’m not going to lie, I really had to convince myself that  I could take this one. I don’t want it and I have energy. But we have a full day ahead and I’d have to limit family time so…rest day it is 🙂

January 22 – 28

Feb 1st

January 29 – February 4

  • Sun – Active Rest Day 3 mi walk + stretching
  • Mon- Day 1 Visual Impact with 20 minutes HIIT
  • Tue –  Jog 4mi + Ab RipperX
  • Wed – Day 2 Visual Impact with 20 minutes HIIT and 20 minutes treadmill walk
  • Thu – Rest Day 3 mi walk
  • Fri – Day 1 Visual Impact with 20 minutes HIIT
  • Sat – Day 2 VI with 20 min HIIT

February 4 – February 11

  • Sun – 5 mile jog
  • Mon – Day 1 VI + 20 minutes HIIT
  • Tue – 3 mi + AbRipperX
  • Wed- Rest Day
  • Thur – Day 2 VI + 20 min HIIT + 30 min walk + most of AbRipperX
  • Fri – 6 mile jog
  • Sat- Day 1 VI + 20 min HIIT + 20 min walk
  • Sun- 3 mile jog

February 12-18

  • Mon- Day 1VI+20min HIIT + 20 min walk
  • Tue – AbRipperX + 3.5 treadmill miles
  • Wed- Rest Day
  • Thu – Day 2VI+20min HIIT + 20min Walk
  • Fri – Day1VI + 20min HIIT
  • Sat – Day 2 VI + 20 min HIIT + 20 min Walk

Feb 19 – Feb 25

  • Sun – 7 mile
  • Mon- Day 1 VI + 20 min HIIT + 30 min Walk
  • Tue – AbRipperX + 1 hr treadmill walk
  • Wed – Rest Day
  • Thur – Day 2 VI + 20 min HIIT + 30 min Walk
  • Fri – Day 1 VI + 20 min Tara Stiles yoga podcast
  • Sat – Day 2 VI + 20 min HIIT

Feb 26 – March 3

  • Sun – Rest Day
  • Mon – 7.5 mile run
  • Tue – AbripperX + 40 min Stott Yoga/Pilates + 10 min Tara Stiles yoga podcasts
  • Wed – 60 min Stationary Bike – 31 miles
  • Thu – Abs + 20 min 10 lb slimdown yoga + 22 min Tara Stiles yoga podcasts
  • Fri – Rest Day
  • Sat – 40 min HIIT + Abs

March 4 – 10

  • Sun – 60 min yoga + 45 min elliptical
  • Mon – 4 mile run
  • Tue – AbripperX + 40 min Stott Pilates Pure Vitality – yoga w/ pilates
  • Wed – 40 min HIIT
  • Thur – REST DAY!! Vacation in Auckland!
  • Fri – Vacation!! + 100 leg raises + 2 min plank (hotel room abs are the best)
  • Sat – Vacation!! + 15k trail race (kicked my booty)
  • Sun – Vacation!! + 100 leg raises + 2:15 min plank

March 12 – 18

  • Mon – 40 min HIIT + 20 min yoga
  • Tue – AbripperX + 8 min yoga podcast (that’s all I get to do when I sleep through the alarm, doh!)
  • Wed- 40 min HIIT
  • Thu – Rest Day
  • Fri – Abs + 50 min yoga  tried the Tara Stiles/Deepak Chopra Yoga Transformation for Balance and Weightloss. I loved it!
  • Sat – 3 mi run + 30 min HIIT
  • Sun – 30 min Pilates + P90X Kenpo

March 19 -25

  • Mon- 40 min HIIT
  • Tue – AbRipperX + 20 min “10lb Slimdown Yoga”
  • Wed- 3 mile run
  • Thu – 50 min yoga + Abs2 + 105 push ups
  • Fri – Rest Day
  • Sat – Rest Day
  • Sun- 40 min HIIT + Abs2 + 100 push ups

Mar 26- April 1

  • Mon- 10 minute jog + 40 min HIIT + 15 min walk +26 push ups 🙂
  • Tue – AbRipperX+20 min 10lb Slimdown Yoga
  • Wed- 40 min HIIT
  • Thu- Bodyrock Make You Hot + Bonus Abs + Hot Sweat Pants
  • Fri – Body Balance
  • Sat- Rest Day
  • Sun- Rest Day (sick)

April 2-8

  • Mon – 1 hr treadmill walk (ie. sick recovery)
  • Tue – AbRipperX + 50 min Tara Stiles Yoga
