So I’ve got the Sundown Marathon coming up in May – which I’m actually doing the 10k not the marathon (the ONE other race I’ve done was a 10k and I nearly fainted at the finish line)
But since I’m feeling the need to push myself as I’ve felt really stagnant in my workouts (really just levels of cardio lately) I’m signing up right now for my first trail run! and it’s in 10 days! at its 8k! oh my. Now, a little ambitious? yes. But if I go into it just to do it, to enjoy the sunshine, explore Singa a little more and just finish… then it should be fine. I rarely run more then 4 or 5k right now (I’m being lazy I guess?) but I know I can run more. I’ve never run on a trail but in all honestly I mostly jog more then I run anyway. I figure the only way to know is to try – load up my ipod, water bottle and go.
Oh I guess my gusto COULD be spurred on by just having read “Born to Run” from cover to cover in two days 🙂
